FAQ
Claire Grogan Personal Training
What types of personal training do you offer?
I provide in‑person personal training in Leeds and online coaching you can follow anywhere. Choose face‑to‑face sessions, fully online coaching, or a combination to suit your routine and goals.
Who do you work with?
I specialise in supporting women 30+ who want to build strength, confidence and energy. Many of my clients are busy mums or women navigating perimenopause or menopause.
Do I need to be fit before starting?
No. Your plan starts at your current level and progresses at a pace that feels manageable. I’ll coach technique, build confidence and adjust as you improve.
How do I get started?
Send an enquiry to book a short call. We’ll chat through goals, preferences (Leeds or online), and I’ll recommend the best option for you.
What equipment do I need?
At home, a pair of dumbbells and resistance bands are enough to begin. If you have gym access, I’ll design sessions around available equipment.
How often should I train?
Most clients see great results with 2–3 strength sessions per week. I’ll tailor frequency to your schedule and recovery.
Will training help with weight loss and toning?
Strength training, daily movement and supportive nutrition are a proven mix. I focus on sustainable habits that improve body composition, energy and confidence.
Is personal training safe during perimenopause or menopause?
Yes. Strength work supports bone density, muscle mass and mood. I adapt intensity and recovery to how you’re feeling each week.
What does online coaching include?
You’ll get app‑based programmes with video demos, clear progressions, weekly check‑ins and messaging for support between check‑ins.
How are in‑person sessions structured?
Sessions include a focused warm‑up, main strength blocks, accessory work and a short finisher if appropriate. We prioritise technique, confidence and measurable progress.
How long are sessions?
In‑person sessions are 60 minutes. Online workouts typically take 35–50 minutes, depending on the plan and your equipment.
Where in Leeds do you train?
I coach in North Leeds (details provided on enquiry) in my own private studio space for 1-2-1 sessions. Programmes can also be written for your own gym or home set‑up.
Can I work with you if I don’t live in Leeds?
Absolutely. Online coaching is available UK‑wide and internationally, with weekly check‑ins and ongoing support to keep you accountable.
What results can I expect?
Stronger lifts, better posture, improved energy and confidence. Many clients notice firmer, more toned legs, glutes, arms and core within 6–8 weeks.
What if I have an injury or niggle?
We’ll work around it safely. I’ll adapt movements and progressions, liaise with your physio if needed, and focus on pain‑free strength.
How do check‑ins work online?
Weekly check‑ins review progress, training videos and wins/challenges.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice for in‑person sessions. Online clients can reschedule planned workouts in the app at any time.
How do I book?
Send an enquiry to arrange a quick call and secure your start date. I’ll outline the best path for you and answer any remaining questions.
